STAYING UNDER GOD'S BLESSING

(In the Midst of Chaos)

In Part 7 (last in the series) of “Staying Under God’s Blessing” (In the Midst of Chaos)… God said that there are 2 immutable things that He can’t change. The Promise and the Oath (which was spoken Hebrews 6), to Bless us like Abraham if we are obedient to His Word and live by Faith for His Plan for our lives. Immutable means: unchanging over time, unable to change, unbending, permanent, fixed. God said, “I and the same yesterday, today and forever”.

During this series we have learned that righteousness or doing what is right according to God’s Word, His commands is the platform for our Faith. Jesus said He would send us the promised Holy Spirit to help remind us about His commands regarding (sin, judgment, righteousness) and we need to live by faith. Even though we don’t know how God is going to take care of our needs (financially, relationally, spiritually, emotionally and physically), we will not only be obedient to His Word regarding sin but will go where He is asking us to temporarily go.

From relocating, different job, change of career, new state, new friends, do we trust God to Bless us with what we need? To Bless us in abundance so we can Bless others as well? God Promises in His Word if we are obedient and live by Faith, He will do it! I get excited when I read how God used obedient and faith filled people in the Bible knowing that I am no different if I will be obedient and live by faith as well.

Don’t limit what God can do thru you by limiting where you will go. Don't question (doubt and unbelief like Thomas) if God will keep His Promises and the Oath that He swore to Abraham… God will do what He said He will, “For such at time as this” we need to be obedient, live by faith and go do what He is asking each one of us to do. I want the same Blessing that was on Abraham so I can be a Blessing to others.

In Part 6 of “Staying Under God’s Blessing” (In the Midst of Chaos)… How do we stay under God’s Blessing? God’s Word gave us 2 examples starting in Genesis. Enoch and Noah were both righteous, did what was right according to Gods’ Word or commands. Also, the Bible said that both walked in in habitual fellowship with God or it was their habit (not perfect) to do what God told them to do. Both Enoch and Noah were saved, were spared which is part of God’s Blessing, when we are obedient to His Word and live and speak by faith.

Joshua tells us how we stay under God’s Blessing as well. Joshua 1:8 KJV “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success”.

In order to prosper in God’s Plan for our life, to have our needs met by God and in abundance, we have to know the Word, live it and take action or be obedient to the commands. Jesus told His followers in Matthew 5 what it looks like if you want to be Blessed in the Sermon on the Mount.

Paul reminded the New Testament church that God is the same as He was in the Old Testament. That “if”  we are obedient to His Word, God will Bless you and I the same as He did for Abraham referring back to Genesis 26:3 “I will be with you and will favor you with blessings; for to you and to your descendants I will give all these lands, and I will perform the oath which I swore to Abraham your father. 5 For Abraham listened to and obeyed My voice and kept My charge, My commands, My statutes, and My laws”.

God will, He will, He is going to perform the same oath He did for Abraham, a Blessing if we obey His commands. That is so exciting to know that God is the same yesterday, today and forever. For such at time as this, in the midst of the chaos, we  can and need God’s Blessing to do His plan !

In Part 5 of “Staying Under God’s Blessing” (In the Midst of Chaos)… Do we have faith (faith without acts of obedience leads to death) that God will provide all our needs? Then, what would you do if God told you He needed you to quit your job? Move to another State? Move away from family? How would you answer?

God’s Blessing, His favor is not because we don’t do what is wrong but Paul said, “God will cause a blessing, be gracious upon on as a result of our faith” or because of what you are doing. Faith is the activator of the Blessing of God, Abraham’s faith activated Abraham’s Blessing and it still does. God is asking us to be obedient to His commands, the Law, and to go and do what He is asking us to do which is live by faith.

Faith is not knowing in the natural how God is going take care of our provision or needs (emotional, physical, financial, relational etc) but we go, we do it, we act on His leading. God’s Word says when we live by faith it releases us from a toil mindset (anxiousness, worry, fear) and puts us right in the middle of His Blessing, His Favor for Him to provide all your needs.

Thomas (doubting or faithless Thomas) who had walked with Jesus, was told that Jesus would rise again. But, Thomas regardless of what he heard from the other disciples, regardless of the promise form Jesus himself, would not believe that Jesus rose again. Jesus had to show Thomas first, and said blessed are those who believe and don’t see.

You and I, followers of Jesus Christ with our obedience to His Words, active the Blessing on our lives when we continue to live in Obedience (if you love me, keep My commands) and live by faith. Remember it’s not just what you don’t do (sin) but what you are doing (faith) for the Kingdom of God.

God said don’t worry about provision or your needs, that is His part. When we seek or take action on God’s Word first, every “thing”, every promise, every need that is required for His plan for our life will be taken care of.

In Part 4 of “Staying Under God’s Blessing” (In the Midst of Chaos)…Jesus told you and I, His followers that in order to stay under His Blessing we can’t serve 2 masters. One of those masters is our thoughts, our carnal way of thinking that we have to figure out a way outside of God’s plan to provide all our needs and things that we WANT. The other Master is Jesus Christ or the Word. When we serve Him, obedience to His Words, He supplies all our needs and in abundance so we wouldn’t have to be anxious about provisions.

Because Adam and Eve decided that all they had been given wasn’t enough (all their needs were met plus…) they chose not to be obedient and sinned and as a result, the ground became cursed, sorrow and worry for provision by the sweat of their brow was necessary now just to meet their needs. They went outside of God’s Blessing and as a result, the garden which they always had to work but it was easy, they never had to water it, it was always green, always producing with no worries had now become the only thing they could think about. The ground had become like cement and they had to figure out how to get their needs met outside of God.

Matthew 6:33 AMPC

33 But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.

When we do not put the Kingdom of God first, we put all our time, thoughts, physical energy into seeking our basic needs when God’s Word said that He wants to provide for us so we can spend our time, thoughts, energy developing our spirit man and being a witness to others.

We need to take captive our thoughts on how we are going to provide, we can’t serve 2 masters. We need to be obedient to God and His kingdom and He will multiply and make you and I rich (according to His Word) with our time, energy/physically, emotionally, financially, relationally and spiritually. Let God multiply and take care of your needs as you do your part in His Kingdom.

God didn’t say don’t work, He said don’t worry about provision or your needs, that is His part. When we seek or take action on God’s Word first, every “thing”, every promise, every need that is required for His plan for our life will be taken care of.

In Part 3 of “Staying Under God’s Blessing” (In the Midst of Chaos)… Starting in Genesis Chapter 1, in the beginning, when God created man and women, He spoke over them and blessed them and said, “be fruitful and multiply”. After the flood in Genesis 9 God blessed Noah and his sons and said “be fruitful and multiply”. The Blessing from God is to not just for you and I but is followed with the command to be fruitful and multiply. That is not “go have babies”… Jesus blessed the disciples before He ascended and told them to be fruitful, multiply, be my witness and that was to expand the kingdom.

As we are obedient to God’s Word, by sharing God’s Blessing  or His riches in all areas of our lives (relationally, financially, emotionally, physically and spiritually) with those who are lacking or poor in those areas, we are being obedient and walking showing we are Blessed. We are to be fruitful and multiplying as the command was given to start the Old Testament and the New Testament Church by replicating and making disciples who follow God’s Word.

Abrahams son Isaac was reminded that if he lived by faith and was obedient to God’s commands that God would perform the same oath that He spoke over his father, that He would multiply Abrahams seed. Paul told the New Testament church (that’s you and I) that the same oath, promise or Blessing would be for us as well… the same as Abraham.

God has Blessed you and I by sending His son, giving us His Word, the Promises, the Commands and they are not just for Adam and Eve, for Noah and his sons, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, but for all of us. When we are obedient to God’s commands, when we live by faith, when we give God His tithe, He promises He will not keep anything back, He will not withhold any good thing or promise. He will not only meet our needs (in abundance… not our wants) to where He has called us to go.

Psalm 84:11 KJV

11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

In Part 2 of “Staying Under God’s Blessing” (In the Midst of Chaos)… John tells the follower of Jesus Christ as our spirit man or soul prospers, matures, grows in the knowledge of who He is that everything will then prosper in all other areas of our life. That prospering or Blessing is to meet our needs (in abundance) for the place/assignment God has called us to go. God said as we do what is right or righteous (obedience to His Word) that He will supply all of our needs (not wants) according to His Riches or what He says we need regarding: relational, financial, emotional and our spirit man or the spiritual.

God’s Blessing or His favor on those who are righteous / habitually obedient (is promised to come with abundance) and that abundance is for you and I to minister or administer that Blessing: relational, financial, emotional and spiritual to others...We are Blessed to be a blessing. God knew that at different time’s in our life we would have to be reminded that this Blessing is always working for us regardless of our job situation, the economy or who is President… God’s Blessing on those who are righteous is for all time, there’s no expiration date and we are commanded to bless others!

Jesus said… Matthew 6:33 AMPC

33 But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.

In Part 1 of my new series “Staying Under God’s Blessing” (In the Midst of Chaos)… we go thru God’s Word on what He tells us about how to stay under His Blessing in order to navigate and prosper during these chaotic and wicked times.

Regardless of who is President, or your governor or the laws that are passed that are contrary to God’s Word, we still need to do what is right or righteous according to God’s Word in Word and Deed (Colossians 3:17). We need to read God’s Word, believe it, speak it and live it and not lose hope and forget that these signs, or “things” that are happening in our great country and around the world must happen in order for God’s Word to be true. We need to point out the wickedness, identify the signs, sound the alarm as God’s Word commands us to. Remember, these are End Times signs and God said He would warn us so we would know when it was time to fly. (the rapture of the Church)

The decisions of the ungodly who are not professing  christians and even those who call themselves followers of christ who live, vote, speak and act like the unbeliever still effect you and I. Even when we do what is right, when we are obedient to God’s Word, it doesn’t mean life will be without difficulty but… God said He will protect you, watch over you, will bless you in the midst of the wickedness which must occur “as in the Days Of Noah”.

So, in the midst of the chaos, the End Times wickedness that God said would happen,  we can still walk in God’s Blessing. How? by choosing to do what is right or righteous, by being obedient to His Word, we are choosing God’s Blessing and He said , “it will overtake us”.  During this series we will learn how to walk in that Blessing in the midst of chaos. There is a blessing or God’s favor that comes upon us that enables us through the power of the Holy Spirit to do God’s Plan or will as we live according to His Word regardless of what is taking place all around us.

Jesus said… Matthew 6:33 AMPC

33 But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.
